Welcome to our 15 minute sample CPDcast on Compulsory Purchase Powers & Compensation.
We hope this short sample gives you a better idea of how the service works. Each time you download a CPDcast you will be presented with a page like this. This podcast serves to outline the important aspects of compulsory purchase law and practice. It gives a flavour of the history of compulsory acquisition, the powers that exist to acquire and guidance on how those powers are exercised. The podcast then goes on to address the process of objection and how affected individuals are properly compensated. The podcast ends with a review of the current case law and what policies the courts are guided by when determining disputes.
