Anand is a partner specialising in domestic and international business crime and regulation. He has particular expertise in extradition, mutual legal assistance, tax investigations/ prosecutions, anti-money He also has considerable expertise in regulatory investigations and dealing with proceedings instituted by the SFO, HMRC, CPS and many other prosecution agencies.
Anand has successfully represented a number of governments, individuals and corporate clients dealing with high profile and politically sensitive investigations in the UK, US, Europe, Far East and many other jurisdictions. Anand advises a number of governments companies and individuals in connection with mutual legal assistance requests made to the UK.
Anand is a co-author of the leading text 'Jones and Doobay on Extradition and Mutual Assistance' (Sweet & Maxwell) and contributor on extradition and EU criminal law to Blackstone’s Criminal Practice.
