Biography
Carolyn D'Souza is an employment law specialist. She acts for both employers and employees. Her clients include local authorities, blue chip companies, government departments and many of the major trade unions. Carolyn deals with all aspects of employment law, but has particular experience in discrimination claims. She has a particular interest in the interaction between stress claims brought in the civil courts and disability discrimination claims in the employment tribunal.
Carolyn was appointed Treasury Counsel (C Panel) in 1999, and remained on the panel until 2005. She has represented various government departments in employment and personal injury claims.
She was identified as a Leading Junior in Chambers UK 2007, which described her as "confident and assertive” and “with a dextrous touch". She is also noted in the Legal 500 (2006) for her advice to blue chip companies and local authorities.
