Elizabeth has extensive expertise in acting for all parties in legally and factually complex care proceedings with specific interest in cases involving serious injuries to children, sexual abuse, parents alleged to have fabricated or induced illness (FII) and parents with learning disabilities.
Elizabeth also acts for parents and children in complex private law proceedings, including child abduction, forced marriage and international movement of children.
Elizabeth is particularly highly regarded for her ability to understand disclosure and public interest immunity (PII) issues in local authority practice and procedure. Elizabeth regularly advises local authorities defending applications, or those seeking to bring proceedings for judicial review of decision making in cases involving children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
