Emily studied at St John's College, Cambridge, where she obtained a first class degree in her undergraduate law studies and a first class Master's degree in law. In the latter she specialised in restitution, international commercial litigation, corporate governance and insolvency.
In 2006 Emily was judicial assistant to Lord Phillips, the Lord Chief Justice. Emily is a practising tenant at Wilberforce Chambers. She enjoys all areas of Chambers' work, including general commercial litigation, financial services, pensions, professional negligence, commercial fraud, trusts, real property and company and insolvency law.
Emily's practice involves both advisory and adversarial work. She appears regularly in the County Courts and the High Court, representing clients at interim and final applications and at trial.
