James graduated in Law from the University of Exeter and went on to study for the Bar in London, obtaining a 'Very Competent'.
James' legal interests lie in the Chancery sphere; particularly trusts, wills, property law, commercial matters and related litigation. He is currently studying for the STEP Diploma for England and Wales. Having been called to the Bar of Lincoln's Inn, James is also knowledgeable in matters of civil litigation and procedure.
James has significant and continuing pro bono experience initially through BPP's Legal Advice Clinic; advising lay clients in a range of property disputes and also represented a client in the LVT. His subsequently voluntary work has been through the CAB. Before joining CPDcast James worked as a freelance LPC advocate from which he brings a wealth of experience in CPR Part 55 possession claims procedures, mortgage law and debt.
He is a member of the Society of Trusts & Estate Practitioners, Lincoln's Inn and the Lord Denning Society.
From October 2012 James will be undertaking pupillage at Chancery Chambers 9 Stone Buildings in Lincoln's Inn.
