Biography
John Bowers QC took silk in 1998 and specialises in employment law (individual and collective), discrimination law, pensions law and judicial review practising from Littleton Chambers.
He is a Recorder on the Midland Circuit and former Chair of the Employment Law Bar Association. He is an Honorary Professor at the University of Hull. He was a Member of the Standard Board for England which deals with ethical standards in local government from 2001 to 2005.
His principal books are A practical Approach to Employment Law, Transfers of Undertakings, Whistleblowing and The Law of Industrial Action. He comes from Grimsby and was described by Advisor magazine as “an employment law rock star”.
