Biography

Judith Ayling was called to the Bar in 1998 and joined 39 Essex Street after completing her pupillage there. She is a member of the costs team in chambers, which is led by Jeremy Morgan QC. She has a substantial practice in costs, with particular expertise in arguments about the enforceability of CFAs and CCFAs, and solicitor/own client disputes, and appears very regularly in the SCCO, the High Court and County Courts. She is an editor of Cordery on Solicitors. She is recommended for her costs work in the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners, and is a member of the Attorney-General’s C panel.

Before becoming a barrister Judith worked in publishing for 9 years.
