Patricia graduated with a first class honours degree in Law and French Law from University College Dublin in 2003. As an undergraduate she spent a year studying French law in Paris and later undertook the BCL at Trinity College, Oxford where she read Global Comparative Financial Law, European Comparative Contract Law, International Dispute Settlement and Comparative Human Rights.
Patricia’s multinational education has allowed her to develop a detailed knowledge of three different legal systems; Irish, English and French. She is fluent in French, English and Gaelic.
Patricia has gained considerable experience across a broad range of civil cases. She is particulary interested in clinical negligence and personal injury. She is regularly instructed in trials and applications in the County Court, particularly road traffic accidents, credit hire and personal injury claims. Her advisory work includes advices on liability and quantum in fatal accident, dangerous animals, ‘slip and trip’, employer’s and occupier’s liability and local authority claims.
Patricia practises in all areas of employment law including unfair and wrongful dismissal, discrimination and redundancy and regularly appears in front of the Employment Tribunal.
