Paul is a partner in the corporate team and is based in the London office. He became a Partner in McGrigors in 2005 and has experience of advising on corporate and partnership structures, as well as franchising structures and other commercial arrangements. As a corporate finance lawyer, Paul regularly advises clients on cross-border transactions including acquisitions, disposals and group reorganisations. Paul has also structured a wide range of commercial arrangements such as strategic alliances, joint ventures, franchises, partnerships and LLPs.
Paul is fluent in German and has presented seminars on issues of corporate and commercial law at the University of Zurich, the International Chambers of Commerce in Frankfurt and Stuttgart, and the French-British Chamber of Commerce in London.
In the field of complex corporate reorganisations, his commercial background has particular relevance to the restructuring of supply chains and the documentation of transfer pricing arrangements within a group. He also has wide experience of advising real estate and infrastructure clients on partnership, corporate and fund arrangements
Paul has significant experience of structure design and risk management in the public sector. Paul advises on a wide range of commercial and not-for-profit arrangements such as strategic alliances, joint ventures, partnerships, Limited Partnerships and Limited Liability Partnerships
Paul has acted for a number of NHS foundation trusts (including Kings College, Chelsea & Westminster, Basingstoke & Hampshire, Aintree and Royal Marsden hospitals) on structuring options for private patient and commercialisation projects, including co-ordination of advice on corporate, charity, IP, procurement and State aids issues and the operation of the private patient income cap.
