Rachel is a solicitor working with Camilla Palmer in the discrimination team at Leigh Day & Co. Rachel joined the firm in October 2010 and works with Camilla on a range of complex and high value discrimination cases, specialising particularly in discrimination and harassment on grounds of sex, pregnancy, race, disability, sexual orientation and age. She also has experience in dealing with flexible work, whistle blowing and unfair dismissal cases.
Since joining the firm Rachel has worked on a number of significant cases including representing Miriam O’Reilly in her claim for age and sex discrimination against the BBC and a number of pregnancy/maternity cases.
Rachel has a BA in Social Anthropology from the University of Cambridge. She has worked on a number of pro bono projects at law school and while training as a solicitor, including volunteering for Streetlaw and at the South Westminster Legal Advice Centre.
