Biography
Rhys is a solicitor within the Commercial Litigation Group at FFW. Rhys trained with FFW and qualified in 2003. Rhys advises clients on a broad range of commercial disputes, on behalf of both public and private sector clients. Rhys’ recent cases include separate High Court and Court of Appeal proceedings on behalf of a public body in a PFI dispute with its contractor; executing a raid on behalf of a company against a fraudulent employee and obtaining a pre-publication injunction against a national newspaper to prevent the publication of a libellous story.
Rhys is also a part of FFW’s Corporate Risk Management Group and advises clients on the proper approach to health and safety planning and cultures. Rhys recently advised a public sector client upon the risks associated with issuing guidance to a member of the emergency services. Rhys has also represented clients in their defence of the criminal and civil proceedings which flow from safety related incidents – both in the UK and abroad.
