Steven has also acted on various PFI project insolvencies. In 2006, he was involved in the first reported case concerning a failed PFI case in Neath Port Talbot Borough County Council v Bank of Scotland and counselled in a Court of Appeal case during which guidance was sought on whether a liquidator should take into account the public interest in deciding whether to bring misfeasance claims against a director.
In March 2009 he was elected President of the Insolvency Lawyers’ Association.
