Stewart has worked for over 18 years as a lawyer supporting clients on a range of commercial contracts primarily in the UK but also in the US and Australia. Stewart specialises in providing advice on information law and he has been involved in some of the largest technology projects undertaken by the UK government, where his clients have included the Cabinet Office, Home Office, DWP, Ministry of Justice and the Department of Health. Stewart was also responsible for drafting the template ICT services agreement used by the UK government for the procurement of technology over the last 10 years.
Stewart regularly speaks at conferences on legal issues relating to technology, public procurement, information law and technology issues, including the international Agile Business Conference. He has also lectured on contract law on the Defence Acquisition Management MSc at Cranfield University and on legal issues relating to cybersecurity at the Defence Academy.
