Biography
Vicky Lord is a barrister practising in Criminal and Employment law. Previously she worked with the Free Representation Unit (FRU) as their Senior Administrator, heading up the Immigration Department. She went on to Chair the FRU from 2007-8. She has worked extensively in Human Rights with the UN affiliated HR Documentation Centre and following studying for her Bar finals worked as a caseworker with Birds Solicitors.
An experienced FRU representative in Social Security, Employment and Criminal Injuries Compensation, she is a dedicated and committed advocate for Access to Justice and upholding the rights of the individual. Recent cases include defending the Whale protester at the Japanese Embassy in 2008.
