6 Pump Court strengths in the Civil law sphere include personal injury, professional negligence, contract law and property disputes.

Members have also been involved in the most serious criminal cases including those involving allegations of murder, rape and serious sexual abuse, fraud, and conspiracies to import drugs and firearms.

The Criminal Team also undertake work in areas of complex commercial fraud, drugs and revenue offences on behalf of defendants; and on behalf of the CPS and other prosecutors, particularly HM Revenue and Customs and the BIS.

Chambers’ Employment Team covers all aspects of employment law and provides a service that is available from advising on the formation of company disciplinary and grievance procedures through to representing at Employment Tribunals and the Employment Appeal Tribunal.

The Family Team provides a full range of services by way of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in mediation and Direct Access to members of the public in suitable cases. The practice of Family Law divides broadly into financial work and children work. Members of Chambers have wide-ranging expertise under these broad subject areas.

6 Pump Court has a team of 15 public, planning and environmental barristers, all of whom are members of PEBA.

The barristers in the regulatory law team at 6 Pump Court also deal with prosecutions in the Criminal Courts for breaches of Health and Safety, Environmental Protection, Consumer Protection, Food Safety laws and Planning Enforcement and with those civil matters (such as appeals against Improvement and Prohibition Notices and Judicial Review) which overlap with them. They can also advise on the emerging and complex area of confiscation of the proceeds of crime.
