Course Aims:

This podcast is aimed at commercial practitioners, arbitrators or those who focus on cross border investment disputes. The podcast aims to discuss the role of Bilateral Investment Treaties in commercial arrangements which help facilitate international trade between nations. It will examine the principal concepts that underpin a bilateral investment treaty and what protections they afford to investors. The podcast will also review some arbitral decisions which indicate how international law principles are applied to resolve disputes.
