This CPDcast aims to provide practitioners with a practical summary of the law of collective investment schemes. It focuses on which financial services activities require FCA authorisation; discusses what a collective investment scheme actually is; addresses the consequences of establishing an unauthorised CIS; and provides practical guidance on the advice a practitioner can give their client on these activities.
