This podcast is aimed at any practitioner involved in litigation, particularly solicitors. It aims to provide a practical guide to the approach and procedure to take when a client challenges a solicitors’ costs. It also briefly looks at the procedure when a third party – typically a mortgagor or beneficiary challenges a costs bill. The podcast addresses the impact active cost management (as recommended by Lord Justice Jackson) will have on cost proceedings and how cost only proceedings can be properly managed.
