This podcast will outline the key provisions of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991. Jo Morris will look at offences under section 1 and section 3 of the Act. She will consider the definition of a ‘dangerous dog’ for the purposes of the Act and look at how the courts go about making that assessment. Jo will consider the role experts play in dangerous dog cases. Jo will consider the main defences to dangerous dog cases and set out the sentencing options available to the court.

Outcomes:
