Course Aims:

This two-part podcast will look at the changes to the law on disability discrimination after the new Equality Act 2010 came into force. The new law changes the existing definition of disability that a Claimant will have to satisfy to gain protection under the Act. This podcast will explore disability discrimination under the new definitions and what this will mean for employers.

Part one of this two-part series will begin to set out the new definitions under the Equality Act and examine direct discrimination and how the new Act has extended its definition.

Part two of this two-part series on disability discrimination will discuss discrimination arising from disability, indirect discrimination and finally failure to comply with the duty to make reasonable adjustments.

Outcomes:
