Course Aims:

This podcast serves to provide the listener with an overview of the freedom of information legislation. It examines the role of the Information Commissioner, the request for information process and the impact of the numerous exceptions to freedom of information by public bodies.

It provides some candid guidance and professional insight from a specialist in the field on the controversial issues involved with open access to government information and FOI's impact on the growing phenomenon of private/public partnership contracts and joint ventures.
