This podcast aims to give a wide-ranging introduction to the procedures and consequences of English corporate insolvency proceedings. Liquidation, receivership and administration are defined and discussed in turn and consideration is made of the principal legislation relating to each procedure, as well as the procedural requirements and consequences of these practices. The general rules for the distribution of payments to creditors in insolvency is discussed, and there is discussion of Company Voluntary Arrangements and Schemes of Arrangement.
