This podcast is aimed at all those interested or unfamiliar with the requirements of the UK’s legal regime for the protection and management of personal information. This podcast deals with the origin and scope of data protection in the UK, the definition of ‘data’ and ‘personal data’, the core principles at the heart of the regime, the powers of the regulator and practical matters of compliance. It also explores the current key issues in this area and the proposals to reform DP law at an EU level.
