In this podcast Matthew Nicklin speaks to Adrienne Page QC and Mark Warby QC to provide an overview of the key issues and case law in the area of privacy. Looking to the development of common law concepts of privacy, the application of the Human Rights and recent case law developments, they provide a thoughtful and thorough analysis of the key issues facing the courts on the topical and important area. They also consider a number of important practical and procedural elements related to any action based on the principles of privacy and the application of the Data Protection Act and principles of breach of confidence to privacy related claims.

Cases considered include Douglas v Hello! and litigation involving Princess Caroline of Monaco, Naomi Campbell, JK Rowling and other celebrity figures who have found themselves at the centre of legal rows with substantial wider interest and impact. Finally the podcast considers the likelihood of the introduction of privacy legislation.
