This podcast is aimed at practitioners in public law who are seeking to understand the principles that will be applied by the courts in deciding whether to grant a protective costs order. It also aims to give an update on two important recent cases in the area, decided in 2008.

In this podcast we interview a leading public law practitioner, Timothy Straker QC on the subject of protective costs orders. In the interview, he discusses the leading case the area, Corner House, which established the principles to be applied when granting a PCO. He also examines its subsequent application in the recent cases of Compton and Buglife in 2008.
