In this podcast, Matthew Chapman interviews Peter Stewart and Alan Saggerson on the issues which have recently been the subject of litigation in the field of travel law. The primary focus is on the potential liability of tour operators under the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992: what is a “package” for the purposes of the Regulations; who is “the other party to the contract” and who will be liable under regulation 15; and, what is the content of the duty which the tour operator owes under regulation 15 of the 1992 Regulations.

Matthew Chapman and Alan Saggerson are both barristers at 1 Chancery Lane – Matthew is named as a leading junior in travel law in Chambers and Partners 2008, and Alan is named as their travel law ‘Star Performer’. Peter Stewart is a partner at Field Fisher Waterhouse and is named in ‘Best of UK’ in the field of travel law.
