Course Aims:

This podcast aims to update the listener on the changes affecting companies' share and capital arrangements and reporting following the final implementation of the Companies Act 2006 on October 1st. It will examine in detail the new requirements relating to statements of capital, reporting, share allocation and capital reductions and compare them to the 1985 Act provisions.

After completing the course you will:
  • Understand the new provisions replacing the authorised share capital provisions in the Companies Act 1985;
  • Know when a statement of capital will be required;
  • Know the form and particulars with which a statement of capital must conform;
  • Be aware of a potential problem affecting the reporting of the amounts paid up on shares;
