This podcast gives the listener an overview of some of the issues identified and recommendations made in, ’The Stern Review,’a report on rape complaints and how they are handled by public authorities in England and Wales.
Baroness Stern CBE gives some background to her review and gives a general summary of the law on rape before considering some of the recommendations made on false allegations, conviction rates, the role of the police and the court process and wider policy considerations before finally looking at what impact the review has had since its publication.
