In this podcast we interview Darius Lewington, a partner at Pinsent Masons, on the subject of the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers. The interview provides an introduction and is the first part of a two part CPDcast on the City Code. It covers the constitution of the Panel on Takeovers and Mergers, the functions of the different committees of the Panel, when companies will be subject to the City Code, the effect of the rulings of the panel and whether their decisions can be the subject of judicial review.
