This podcast aims to inform the listener of the current law regarding employment during insolvency, and to give advice to both employees and company Directors about the best steps to take should insolvency be contemplated. Further, it educates the listener as to the exact effects of each specific insolvency procedure on employment, and highlights the necessary issues that practitioners should be aware of in the current economic climate.
This podcast discusses the effect that the insolvency of a company can have on employees and employment contracts. It considers issues both prior to entering into a formal insolvency procedure, and afterwards. There is a particular focus on the effect of insolvency on the enforceability of employment contracts and remedies thereunder.
