In this podcast Hannah Reed and Stephen Levinson discuss the possible impact of the widely anticipated enactment of the new ACAS Code of Practice. The podcast discusses the possible tension of combining both grievance and disciplinary procedures into a single code.

The speakers examine the changes to procedure for the investigation of misconduct and new procedures for disciplinary hearings or meetings. Attention is also given to the appropriate steps when disciplining employees at the conclusion of a hearing and appeal.

The new grievance procedure is also addressed. The podcast concludes with a discussion of what should happen where grievance and disciplinary processes overlap both individually and collectively.
